Loosing my wisdom

Sorry I haven't posted recently. This past week or so has been a whirlwind of activities, pictures, emotions and a few other fun things tied in to make it complete.

Today I thought I'd finally get around to posting something. Maybe its a fear that its my last post (ok... so there is a little truth in that). Maybe its just that now I can justify a few griping posts after!.

But.. today I am booked to get my wisdom teeth out. [Click to read the full post]

Road Trip! (Saturday)

Saturday was planned as my day to sleep in and relax. I slept in until late morning and just lay in bed until about noon when I got out of bed. It was so nice to be able to just sit in bed with my laptop and relax without worrying about having to be up at a certain time etc.

A 'normal' relaxing day for me is never just composed of lying around doing nothing though (as much as I have had my days of that in the past). In talking that morning to Jesse and Liz (the friends from the states mentioned in my last entry), plans quickly started to fall together for a very spur of the moment get together. They were going to be at a coffee house just over the border in the Buffalo area so it wasn't as far as the coffee house I went to last time I visited. It soon became something with potential.

(Lots of pictures for this entry!) [Click to read the full post]

Suprise!! (Friday)

...or something close to that :)

Its been a long long weekend and I've been enjoying almost every minute of it (except the part where it ended). I'm finally getting on top of everythign and getting around to blogging whats new in my life etc.

Friday was the night of my suprise birthday party! I'm guessing it may have been a comment I made a while back but my best friend Ash decided that for my birthday present she was going to go far out of her way to track down all (and I mean ..everyone on this planet that knows me that could possibly come) of my friends. I think it's love!

They say love at first sight never happens, but I'm starting to think otherwise.

I guess I had a moment today, and it just all came upon me in a flood of emotion. [Click to read the full post]

The Mountain of God

Discovered this song tonight. Really great lyrics. I just love the imagery that it portrays:

Now I realize the truth
That I must go through the valley
To stand upon the mountain of God

An 'Ed' Moment

Since I started my new job, my only pair of wearable shoes has slowly been deteriorating (my old steel toes hurt to wear, and my shoes are the only other steel toes I can wear at the moment so I have to wear them). Since I've always had larger feet (14/15), finding a pair of boots or any kind of footwear actually, its next to impossible. [Click to read the full post]

The Phone Quiz

I'm exhausted and tired. Just had a brief moment of energy again tonight, brought to you by Great Value Twists (el cheapo licorice).

Might as well fill out the simple quiz that everyone else seems to have filled out now. [Click to read the full post]

The Poem With No Name

I wrote part of this way back when I started to first post poetry on my site. This was actually meant to be what I was goign to post first. But due to things going on, I held off posting it.

The majority of you who read this may never be able to make any sense of it, and I don't really want or expect you too, so don't be offended. Some of my closest friends though may find out if they want to ask :)

Sorry if its not that good. The message is of value, not the form or sound. [Click to read the full post]

Work 'n stuff

A few people wanted to know what electrofishing was and my boss emailed me some of the other pictures that were taken that day, including some of me electrofishing. Figured I'd post 'em and explain how it works. [Click to read the full post]

A Thought.

Sorry for the delay - I've been working and sleeping. Pretty much about it. With the odd little excursion ;)

Today I worked a 5:30am - 5:15pm shift. The day before I worked with 2 others where we planted 416 shrubs/trees along the red hill river in hamilton area (by the wastewater treatment plant). Today I got to go electrofishing. I don't think I'll ever have the patience to fish with a hook and worm again after that! Just pull the button and scoop 'em up! (No.. it doesn't hurt them)

I am exhausted because of that and everything else that has been going on in my life. I was trying to find a good one liner to post and started reading over my previous entries and then the perfect thing came to mind... [Click to read the full post]
